In the three decades since its debut, the Subaru Outback has developed a devoted following with the outdoorsy set. The go-anywhere wagon was fully redesigned for the 2020 model year, and for 2023, it's offered in rugged new Wilderness trim. The Outback Wilderness features an upgraded suspension, wheels, and undercarriage protection to better handle rough terrain.
Two engines are available for the Outback. The standard models feature a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder which makes 182 horsepower. The Onyx Edition XT and the Wilderness are equipped with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder which produces 260 horsepower.
Every Subaru Outback comes with a long list of safety features, including Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering, Pre-collision Braking, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, and Lane Keep Assist.
