And for the 2014 XV Crosstrek Subaru created an exclusive new exterior color, Plasma Green Pearl, to help spotlight the vehicle's environmental character. You'll also enjoy the standard rear vision camera which helps you to spot obstacles behind you, making backing up easier and safer. And speaking of safety the new XV Crosstrek Hybrid comes with some fantastic safety features to keep you and your family safe. The Ring Shaped Frame Reinforcement body structure and Subaru Advanced Airbag System, which includes side curtain airbags, front seat head/chest side impact airbags, and a driver's knee airbag, will leave you and your family feeling surrounded by outstanding protection. And the XV Crosstrek Hybrid also features whiplash protection on the front and rear seats, which will protect you and your passenger's necks and spines from serious injury in the event of a rear-end crash.
New 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid Performance Features
The 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid comes standard with a 4-cylinder BOXER engine that includes an integrated electric motor as well as a Lineartronic® continuously variable transmission. There is an auto start/stop function and brake regeneration system included with the integrated starter/generator. The 13.5kW, 100V nickel-metal-hydride battery is conveniently installed under the rear cargo area. The electric motor offers you 13.4 horsepower and 48 lb.-ft. of torque. While the gas engine delivers 148 horsepower and 145 lb.-ft. of torque. The Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is an Active Torque Split version which sends power to all four wheels and adjusts the torque in response to acceleration, cornering, and road conditions. And for the XV Crosstrek Hybrid Subaru has re-engineered the chassis to better handle the weight of the battery, as well as to provide you with improved ride, steering, and handling.
